At the opening of Navalshore today, Transpetro – Petrobras Transporte S. A. CEO Sérgio Bacci announced the effectiveness of the contract for the construction of Handy size tankers at the Ecovix shipyard, under the Ecovix-Mac Laren consortium. These vessels, intended for Transpetro, will strengthen Brazil’s cabotage operations and the distribution of oil products along the coast.
The contract, signed earlier this year between April/ May, now enters into force, marking a significant step for Brazil’s shipbuilding sector and reinforcing the strategic role of domestic yards in supporting the country’s energy logistics.
