Petrobras has appointed Bruno Moretti as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors, succeeding Pietro Mendes, who stepped down to assume a leadership role at Brazil’s National Petroleum Agency (ANP). Moretti will serve until the company’s next General Meeting, scheduled for 2026.
He holds a degree in Economics from UFF, a master’s in Industrial Economics from UFRJ, and a PhD in Sociology from UnB. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in Economic Development at Unicamp. Moretti also brings extensive experience in the public sector, having served in various ministries and in the Federal Senate. Additionally, he currently sits on Petrobras’ Investment Committee.
