CSV Normand Fortress from owners Solstad has arrived in Guanabara Bay and will soon commence her two year firm plus two year option charter with Petrobras She will provide accommodation services (W2W) to support production activities on the Brazilian continental shelf. Additionally, with Normand Fortress joining the fleet, Solstad Offshore now has two vessels dedicated to accommodation duties for Petrobras. The other vessel, Normand Valiant, has recently been granted a six-month extension on her charter, ensuring her deployment is firm until mid-February 2025.
Both vessels are equipped with fully motion compensated gangway systems from Ampelmann Operations. Normand Valiant is fitted with an A-type gangway designed to transfer 20 personnel safely and efficiently in under five minutes from vessels to offshore structures while Normand Fortress is equipped with an E-type gangway which can safely transfer personnel in sea states up to 4.5m Hs.
